I’m Down with Dave

I’ve blogged quite a bit about my bay area visit and there are still 15 more videos to post (I swear they’ll get up). If you’ve watched my videos, you’ll obviously see I met some really cool people. Unfortunately Dave McClure was an awesome guy to chat with, but we met during Lunch 2.0 and isn’t on camera.

I knew I’d like Dave when he replied to my initial email saying, “sure, count me in… i grew up in WV, so I’m also a hillbilly entrepreneur.” Little did I know Dave was ridiculously connected in the Valley and he’s very astute at fostering other startups. Luckily, I found a video of Dave showcasing his startup experience and his humor from IgniteSeattle.

    When I met Dave, I asked what he did. He said he did a little of this, a little of that. Sometimes in the Valley that means you’re unemployed. Then I saw his name tag. I told him how I enjoyed Web 2.0 Expo.
